The Initiation Act of Joseph’s journey begins when he is sold to the Midianite traders and then sold to Potiphar, Pharoah’s officer. That space between the spoken promise and the realized promise is the season of preparation. It is painful, and it has a cost. Understand that God has not directly caused this pain. Pain can be the result of sin, whether our own or others’ sins against us. Or pain is simply indicating that healing is needed. God is the one who heals you from it. Do not fear Him as One who will cause you pain, for He will not. However, He will ask you to confront that pain when the time is right.

Why LUST or SEX isn’t LOVE
The issue of lust is rarely dealt with frankly. I am like everyone else learning how to overcome sin myself; this is my attempt to expose lust—to bring it into the light so we can get a clear shot at it and kill it. As one who’s found himself starting on the “downward path to death” (Proverbs 5:5), this is a warning for others on that path to turn back.
Dancing with Mary Jane
You say pot opens up your mind? So did the fruit that Adam bit into. We’ve been paying for that one ever since. So in your worldly views, I have no reason to tell you that pot is bad. For me, I just know that Jesus doesn’t like it.
Why You Shouldn’t Get a Tattoo
Let not no one condemn you for having a tattoo. However, I want to encourage to not get another one or not to get your first one. When Jesus says he wants to write his name on you, he means he wants to reflect God’s glory through you instead of you attempting to reflect your own glory. Tattoos are popular because they provide a means for people to reflect their own glory instead of God’s glory. But that’s not you. So why participate in something that doesn’t reflect your true heart for God?
Freedom
It started off with just one glass in the evening here and there to relax. Then the habit of getting a bottle of wine after a really stressful day, or needing a break and wanting to shut down. Drinking at home in the evening led to every family party and occasional moms/girls night out. I thought I had control over it but it was a stronghold that I struggled to say no to.
Gratitude: A New Perspective
Thanksgiving is all about perspective. It is a choice, an attitude, and a way of life. Unfortunately, I am only at the beginning of my journey on that way, but I am determined to walk it out and I am walking forward day by day.
Exorcising Your Demons
It should be expected that new believers (and even mature believers who are often called to go through deep personal struggles) to have a few demons plaguing them and not wanting to let go. But once the individual believer experiences deliverance and is free from the demonic oppression, s/he should use that freedom to grow stronger in faith and in following Jesus.
Holding onto God’s Promises
Some of us were turned off of by hypocritical preachers, some got burnt by Christian friends or family members, many of us had a rough time with our fathers, and we project our daddy issues onto our Heavenly Father. But God is true to his word.
Forgive and Hold No Grudges
When people do things to offend us the offense is like a debt. They owe us an action to correct the wrong they did to us. So, set your mind on not holding a grudge. Father is making you rich in peace, joy and love so that you can share it with those who don’t have them.
The Goal of Worship
For us to be fruitful, Father must put his thoughts deep down inside our hearts and minds. Through worship, we give Father permission to impart to us things he wants us to think by his Spirit. The more you relinquish yourself in worship, the more permission you give Father to shape your heart and mind to think the way he thinks.
